DR TJ whose real name is Otejiri Imah is a medical doctor, gospel artiste and songwriter born into a family of seven, the Reverend S J Imah household.
As a tradition in the family, his father enrolled him into the children choir of Church of God Mission Ughelli at the age of six. Dr TJ graduated from the teenage and youth choir to become the Music director of the youth choir. He was Music Director for years and he did exploits for God throughout the region glorifying God with his gifts and talent.
Whilst in Medical school at Igbinedion University Okada (IUO), he served as the music director of CASOR fellowship before travelling to Europe to further his studies.
During his time in Ukraine, he organised of one of the biggest gospel concerts organized in the city of Lugansk Ukraine tagged “Gospel Efizi” that hosted the likes of Micah Stampley and Donnie Mcklurkin. This event is still being used as a benchmark and reference point for event organisers in that gospel music industry.
Dr TJ continued to served God fervently in Ukraine. He was the music director of Vessels of Mercy choir with a membership of over a 100 choristers after which he became the music minister of his church.
Some of the highlights of Dr TJ’s music ministry whilst in Ukraine are as follows –
He started a band named “Rhythm of David” with which he toured Ukraine and ministered on some of the biggest stages like Pastor Sunday Adelaja’s mega church to being the main act for the “Don’t Stop” Youth conference in the city of Donetsk Ukraine.
Dr Tj served in the capacity of worship leader in several churches including Abundant life Christian Centre Brooklyn NY, Abode of Testimony Midland Texas, Dominion Life Christian Centre San Ramon CA and the famous Church of God Mission International.
Dr TJ is multi-talented because apart from singing, he also plays the drums.
The Imah family has gifted the world with other great singers and worship leaders that have been a blessing to the body of Christ worldwide.
